Nickel-based Alloys

VAT80A (Alloy 80A / UNS N07080)

It has good creep resistance up to 760°C and, in addition to mechanical strength, it has good fatigue resistance and oxidation resistance at high temperatures. It is used for internal combustion engine valves, screws and molds used at high temperatures.

VAT90 (Alloy 90 / UNS N07090)

High creep resistance alloy with high content of Cr and Co, with balanced Ti and Al content, which act as precipitation hardening elements. Excellent mechanical strength and oxidation resistance at high temperatures.

MP35N (UNS R30035 / AMS 5844)

MP35N is an austenitic Ni-Co-Cr-Mo alloy with ultra high mechanical strength (above 1200 MPa) associated with very high corrosion resistance, mainly to chlorides.

VATX750 (Alloy X750 / ASTM B637 / UNS N07750)

It is corrosion and oxidation resistant and has high creep resistance up to 815°C. Excellent resistance to stress relieving, which makes it applicable for springs operating to 650°C. Furthermore, it is used to manufacture springs, screws, extrusion dies and tools.

VRC625 (Alloy 625 / ASTM B446 / UNS N06625)

Corrosion-resistant alloy that can be used in several harsh environments. The alloy is virtually immune to chloride-induced stress corrosion and, for this reason, it is used for components exposed to sea water. Widely used by the chemical and petrochemical industry, including cryogenic applications.

VRC725 (Alloy 725 / ASTM B637 & B805 / UNS N07725)

This is an alloy of high resistance to corrosion and high mechanical strength. The corrosion resistance is similar to that of the 625 alloy, but its mechanical strength is twice as much. This strength is developed by the precipitation of the γ” phase obtained by solubilization and aging heat treatment.

VRC925 (Alloy 925 / ASTM B637 & B805 / UNS N09925)

This is an alloy of high resistance to corrosion and high mechanical strength. The resistance is developed by the precipitation of the γ’ phase through solubilization and aging heat treatment, so as to maintain ductility and toughness at high levels. It is mainly used in components and parts for the production of natural gas and oil.

VAT31V (Alloy 31V / UNS NO7032 / SAE HEV8)

Alloy for exhaust valves used in high power diesel engines. It is resistant to sulfidation, has good corrosion resistance and good mechanical strength up to 815°C.

VAT600 (Alloy 600 / ASTM B166 / UNS N06600)

As it is corrosion resistant in oxidizing and reducing conditions, this alloy is virtually free of chloride-induced stress corrosion. Resists to oxidation up to 1170°C and is used in components for furnaces, thermocouple protection tubes, and by the chemical and food industry.

VAT718 (718 / UNS N07718 / 718 API 6A)

It is the most widely used superalloy due to its mechanical strength and creep up to 650°C. In addition, it has good corrosion resistance and ductility at cryogenic temperatures down to -250°C. Widely used in the aerospace industry as gas turbine components, it is also used in hot working tools and components used by the oil industry in sub-zero temperatures.

VAT751 (Alloy 751 / SAE J775)

It is a slight modification of the alloy X750 allow to increase creep resistance to 870°C. The applications are the same of the alloy X750, but it especially suits diesel exhaust valves.

VRCC4 (Alloy C-4 / ASTM B574 / UNS N06455)

Excellent resistance to ferric and cupric chlorides, mineral acids, chlorinated environments, formic and acetic acids, sea water and brine. Resistant to oxidation at temperatures up to 1040ºC (1900°F). It is widely used in chemical, petrochemical and oil industries.

VRC622 (Alloy C22 / Alloy 622 / UNS N06022)

The VRC622 alloy has outstanding corrosion resistance, exceeding the VRC276 alloy with regard to generalized corrosion and pitting corrosion in a wide range of corrosive environments.

VRC276 (Alloy C276 / ASTM B574 / UNS N10276)

Excellent resistance to ferric and cupric chloride, mineral acids, chlorinated environments, formic and acetic acids, sea water and brine. Resistant to oxidation at temperatures up to 1040°C. It is widely used in chemical, petrochemical and oil industries.

VRC400 (Monel 400 / ASTM B164 / UNS N04400)

Resistant to corrosion by seawater and swamps under high-speed conditions and various acids, such as sulfuric, hydrochloric and hydrofluoric. Used in pump parts and valves, propeller shafts, descaling, pickling and etching equipment, and chemical processes.
